$1 Million NY Lottery Powerball Ticket Sold At Stop & Shop In Region

A winning New York Lottery ticket was sold to one lucky Stop & Shop customer on Long Island who purchased a Powerball ticket worth $1 million.

The latest Powerball draw on Wednesday, Nov. 3 had a jackpot of $132.5 million, but a second prize ticket was sold to a customer in Suffolk County at the Stop & Shop location on Union Boulevard in West Islip.

On Wednesday, the winning numbers on the drawing were 01-02-24-50-57 with a Powerball of 26. The Power Play was a 2X.

The West Islip ticket wasn’t the only one sold in New York.

New York Lottery was reporting 16 fourth-place winners, who claimed a $100 prize for matching four numbers, and 63 fifth-place winners who also won $100 for matching three numbers and the Powerball.

Other winners:

  • Sixth-place (three matching numbers): 1,319 winners ($7);
  • Seventh-place (two matching numbers and the Powerball): 1,130 ($7);
  • Eighth place (one match and the Powerball: 7,920 ($4);
  • Ninth (just the Powerball): 18,790 ($4).

The Powerball jackpot will now rise to $146 million for the next drawing on Saturday, Nov. 6.
